Graduate/Trainee Java/J2EE Developer with JSP/J2EE, SQL/JDBC, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Tomcat/WebSphere and Spring
Due to the steady increase of high profile clients requiring extensive solutions Calibrand are looking to recruit another Java developer to join their graduate training scheme.
Developers at Calibrand have the opportunity to work on a project from its conception through to delivery, liaising with clients worldwide on exciting new projects. There is also the opportunity to help customise and enhance one of Calibrand's existing products, performing R&D into new technologies to provide new and improved functionality to meet client's needs, as well as assisting with client support investigations of applications in a live/production environment, reporting both internally to client support personnel or interfacing directly with clients as appropriate.
You must have Java experience; in addition, any experience of JSP/J2EE, Servlets, HTML, CSS, XML, Spring, SQL, and JavaScript would be a distinct advantage, although full training is available where appropriate. Exposure to Web Application Servers (IIS, Apache, Tomcat and/or Websphere), databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle and/or MySQL) and version control software (VSS or Subversion) is desirable. Most importantly, you should have a willingness to learn new skills and to work hard as a dedicated member of a professional team.
Organisation and a keen eye for detail are indispensable in this environment, as are excellent verbal and written communication skills.
You should be used to working on your own initiative or within a team, to tight deadlines.
